Wat is een omvormer-lader (combi) en voor wie is die geschikt?

Een omvormer-lader combineert een omvormer, een acculader en een automatische netoverschakeling in één apparaat. Bij netstroom laadt hij je accu's en schakelt verbruikers door; valt het net weg of ontbreekt het, dan levert hij 230 V vanaf de accu. Ideaal voor campers, boten, off-grid systemen en thuisbatterij-toepassingen waar je zowel wilt laden als noodstroom of eilandbedrijf nodig hebt.

Wat is het verschil tussen MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II en Quattro?

De MultiPlus is de klassieke combi met één AC-ingang (walstroom of aggregaat) plus PowerAssist en PowerControl. De MultiPlus-II heeft een extra AC-uitgang en ingebouwde functies voor ESS/thuisbatterij en dubbele netmeting, wat hem de standaardkeuze maakt voor zonne-energie-opslag. De Quattro heeft twee AC-ingangen, zodat je bijvoorbeeld walstroom én een aggregaat kunt aansluiten met automatische prioriteit.

Wat doen PowerControl en PowerAssist bij walstroom?

Met PowerControl stel je in hoeveel stroom de combi maximaal uit de walstroom of het aggregaat mag trekken, zodat je aansluiting (bijvoorbeeld 6 of 16 A) nooit overbelast raakt. PowerAssist gaat een stap verder: bij een piekbelasting vult de omvormer het tekort automatisch bij vanuit de accu, zodat je zwaardere apparaten kunt gebruiken op een lichte walstroomaansluiting zonder de zekering te laten uitvallen.

Werkt een Victron combi ook als UPS bij netuitval?

Ja. Valt het net weg, dan schakelt de combi binnen milliseconden over naar omvormerbedrijf op de accu, zodat aangesloten apparatuur blijft draaien zonder merkbare onderbreking. Deze snelle overschakeling maakt de MultiPlus en Quattro geschikt als noodstroom/UPS voor bijvoorbeeld cv-ketels, koelingen, computers en verlichting.

Kan ik met een omvormer-lader een thuisbatterij en zelfconsumptie van zonne-energie opbouwen?

Ja, met ESS (Energy Storage System) op een MultiPlus-II sla je overdag opgewekte zonne-energie op in de accu en gebruik je die 's avonds, zodat je zoveel mogelijk zelf verbruikt en minder van het net afneemt. Voor sturing, monitoring en netmeting koppel je een Cerbo GX; de combi communiceert via VE.Bus. Zo optimaliseer je zelfconsumptie en kun je desgewenst noodstroom behouden.

Kan ik combi's parallel schakelen of uitbreiden naar 3-fase?

Ja. Meerdere identieke MultiPlus- of Quattro-units kun je parallel schakelen voor meer vermogen, of in een 3-fase configuratie plaatsen (drie units, één per fase). De units worden via VE.Bus gekoppeld en samen geconfigureerd; gebruik altijd hetzelfde model en vermogen binnen een systeem voor een stabiele werking.
